Before choosing, think carefully about the depth of ability you wish your character to have. The more your character has to learn may well make it easier for your posting to increase...?

PADAWANS
A Padawan, Padawan learner, Jedi Apprentice in Basic, or Jedi in Training, referred to a Force-sensitive adolescent who had begun one-on-one instruction with a Jedi Master outside of the Jedi academy. Having passed the Initiate Trials and ascended in rank from an Initiate, Padawans were given more responsibilities within the Jedi Order but were subject to the demands of their masters. Their abilities, depending on the length of time studying, are minimal.
At the start of our RPG we have just witnessed Vadar destroying the Temple on Coruscant and have escaped to re-group, creating our own separate story-arc from the canon after EP3. If you are a Padawan you can choose to either a) have escaped and NPC a low-levelled Jedi Master (unadvisable) or b) choose a new Master. Choosing option B means your previous Master was killed during the 'Purge' and you have regrouped with the rest of us, and at this point must approach another Master to request to be taken under their wing. With so few numbers of us escaping, Masters have been permitted to take multiple students.
It is up to you if you wish to be this rank. This will be accepted outright by the Council in your Biography.

JEDI KNIGHTS
A Jedi Knight referred to a member of the Jedi Order, who had completed their Jedi training as a student in the Jedi academy, in addition to one-on-one training as a Padawan and the completion of the Jedi Trials. As a Knight and a full member of the Order, these individuals received assignments from the Jedi Councils and strove to find peace, and maintain order within the Galactic Republic. Making up the majority of the Order's members, the public was familiar with this title more than any other, and, thus, many addressed any Jedi as "Knight". In some cases Jedi Knights continue to study under their original Jedi Masters to further their understanding and skill of utilising the Force. Their abilities, depending on the length of time studying, are average.

If you are a Jedi Knight you can choose to either a) have escaped and NPC a low-levelled Jedi Master (unadvisable), b) choose a new Master or c) escape as a somewhat capable Jedi Knight to our meeting location. Choosing option B means your previous Master was killed during the 'Purge' and you have regrouped with the rest of us, and at this point can choose to approach another Master to request to be taken under their wing if you wish to continue studying. With so few numbers of us escaping, Masters have been permitted to take multiple students. Choosing option C means you can aid as best as your abilities and skill levels will allow, only answering to mandates from the Council Member Jedi Masters.
It is up to you if you wish to be this rank, however must be approved by a Jedi Master (Council Member) depending on your previous experience in RPG if applicable.

JEDI MASTERS
The title of Jedi Master was the highest formal rank obtainable by a member of the Jedi Order. Reserved for those who had shown exceptional devotion and skill as well as balance in the Force and often combat. The rank of Master was a title bestowed upon very few Knights in every generation. As such, Masters made up the smallest percent of the Order's membership. The most common path to this rank was to train several Padawans as a Knight, typically one right after the other, and have them all successfully pass their Jedi Trials. If one did not wish to train several students, a Knight could choose to undergo a modified version of the Trials of Knighthood, or gain attention for their service to the Republic. Each of these feats could gain the High Council's acknowledgment and result in a promotion to the rank of Master. In many cases the Jedi Council will promote those Jedi Knights still known as students to the rank of Master based on their degree of mastery of the Force. As the Order began to grow, most Masters were promoted based on the extraordinary deeds they performed for the New Republic. Those Jedi Knights who were not continuing under the study of a Master are less-likely to gain the title of Master.

If you are a Jedi Master you can choose to either a) have escaped and NPC your own Padawan or Jedi Knight understudy, b) have no student or c) have a student whom is killed during the Purge. Choosing option C means your previous students was killed during the 'Purge' and you have regrouped with the rest of us, and at this point can choose to either approach a student with no Master, or wait for one to approach yourself. With so few numbers of us escaping, Masters have been permitted to take multiple students.
It is up to you if you wish to be this rank HOWEVER they are not approved lightly. Your skill in RPG and SW knowledge must be second to none.

MEMBERS OF THE JEDI COUNCIL
The Jedi High Council, also known simply as the Jedi Council, was the primary Council of the Jedi Order. The High Council was a group of twelve wise and powerful Jedi Masters who were elected to guide the Order as well as to serve as an advisory body for the Office of the Supreme Chancellor.
At the start of our RPG we have just witnessed Vadar destroying the Temple on Coruscant and have escaped to re-group, creating our own separate story-arc from the canon after EP3. A new Council will be formed as our storyline progresses.
YOU CANNOT APPLY TO BE A MEMBER OF THIS COUNCIL. THE POSITION IS OFFERED THROUGH COMMITTMENT TO THE RPG EITHER NOW OR COMMITTMENT TO RPGs IN THE PAST (this past committment must be validated by a current Council Member).
